We went to Aunty's. We were all thinking about going to a buffet but last minute Aunty was able to put together a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings- including deviled eggs that we didn't remember because there was already so much food and Aunty doesn't like them. It was a post dessert snack. =P Another Aunty was there visitng from Hawaii for her 50th birthday and Ku'uipo took to her pretty quickly, including a good bye kiss before Aunty went to the airport. We didn't take many photos but here's one of Ku'uipo cuddling with her Uncle. (He pulled the tendons in his arm seperating his thumb during flag football. He had surgery the day before Thanksgiving. Ku'uipo tried being very gente. Once she fell asleep her uncle suffered through his circulation being cut off because he didn't want to wake HER up! =) Another win for Green Bay- his team. (He said he's Kawika's favorite uncle because when Kawika got sick we postponed the open house, which was originally scheduled during a Green Bay game. The following week the Packer's weren't playing. =P) Also this weekend a good friend of mine from high school came and visited. She is in the Army and will be going to Afghanistan in March. It was nice to see her and she got to see Ku'uipo again and meet Kawika.

Breaking Dawn
Kawika attended his first movie in the theatre this week, Breaking Dawn Part I. At almost two, Ku'uipo still hasn't been and little Kawika is only 5 1/2 weeks old!! (That's okay Ipo, it was not a memorable experience for your brother I am sure, he slept through the entire thing- thank goodness for Mom!! Plus, it was a total chick flick, LOL.) Like his sister, he is experiencing other firsts early as well. He's already been to California for his shower and we are planning on taking him to Utah next month for Christmas. Also like his sister, he does not enjoy long car rides- preferring to be held over being in a car seat. We are attending a wedding in Ohio in June and he'll already get to experience air travel! (Ku'uipo is the flower girl. Her dress is so pretty. I will have to post pictures in a later blog.)
In other news this week, I will officially be going back to work in two weeks. Dave was unable to secure employment in the last six weeks and back to work I must go. =( I treasured the 16 months I had off with Ku'uipo and maybe that is why this is so hard, because I know how much I will be missing. Lots of women must I suppose so me and Kawika will do this one day at a time. =)
